Our club offers a four-year college scholarship to a deserving Monterey resident.  The main criteria are residency, performance in high school and financial need.  Details are here.

Applications must be accompanied by a transcript from the high school (by email, please), a Financial form from the parent(s), and a Secondary School Report from the high school guidance counselor, four documents in total. Applications may also include at most two optional references. All forms will be shared with the club's Scholarship Committee and with no one else. Download the form you need by clicking on it in the table below and save it on your computer. Once you have saved it, and not until then, open the saved document, fill it out at your leisure, save it under a new name as instructed, and finally send the renamed document as an email attachment to Ellen Shipitalo at ellen.shipitalo@gmail.com, the scholarship chair.  You will need Adobe Reader. Here are the forms:

Applicant form To be completed by applicant
Financial form To be completed by the parent(s) or guardian(s)
Secondary School Report To be completed by the guidance counselor
Reference Form optional submission

All of these forms must be received on or before March 31 of the year in which the scholarship is awarded. Applicant interviews are required and will normally be on the last Thursday and Friday in April. Don't forget the transcript. Our neighboring Kiwanis club in Carmel Valley also gives scholarships.
